The set I received had three female-port reception pipes (instead of two), and only one male insertion pipe (when there should have been two). Together, the four would make two long pipes that the main table surface would have plugged down onto. However, due to the mismatched pipes, I could not complete the installation. The table surface itself was dented, and some of the black paint on it was scratched up, so did not look very nice; build quality was definitely lacking there.
Putting aside the defective nature of the set I received, my thoughts about the table’s design are that while it is compact and easily transported (which is important for a camping table), it’s design is a bit more complex than others I’ve seen in its class, but because the emphasis is on making it lightweight, it also feels a bit flimsy in my hands.
There’s more points of failure in the design should anything go awry with it, and I could see the folding mechanism breaking easily under a variety of conditions both indoors and outdoors a few months into the purchase.
With that said, if one is willing to be careful, or is more of a solo camper, this table could still work, since it is pretty light and compact both folded and fully set-up, and provided one is willing to be gentle with it, it could still do the job if the parts received are all the right ones.
For me, personally, my buddies can get a bit raucous at times, and we also have a poker set that fits better on one of the other tables I’ve seen here on Amazon, so I’ve chosen to return this and buy the other one.
